According to SS Nandurdikar, chairman, CII-Orissa ,The theme of this year's exhibition is inclusive growth. The focus of the exhibition would be on areas like MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises), ITIs (industrial training institutes), technical education and IT small and medium enterprises.
The industrial expo would also have a four-day soft skills programme by the city-based Centurion Institute of Technology (CIT) and a three-day training programme aimed at preparing the MSMEs for ancillarisation by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI).
Sourabh Garg, the state industries secretary said, we expect that the five-day expo will attract entrepreneurs from various places of the state. The industrial exhibition would have a separate session on food processing, industry prepared technical education and enforcement of the Orissa MSME Development Policy. The MSME generate more proportionately more jobs per each crore of investment than large industries and that was why the MSMEs were the flavour of the year.
